East of Eli - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
East of Eli
East of Eli is the stunning musical project from singer-songwriter Nathan West. Blending cinematic
folk, pop melodies and modern electronic sound, East of Eli has been garnering both critical and
popular acclaim since its formation in 2014. To date, East of Eli has released two singles off his
upcoming album Lost Transmission.
On February 14, 2017, East of Eli dropped its first single entitled, "Nowhere”,͟ a love letter to West's
wife, who makes her singing debut on the track, providing angelic harmonies throughout, The
arrangement proves stunning, highlighting catchy melodies, soaring guitars and deep synths, a
reminder of their devotion to one another despite the challenges that come with both having careers
in entertainment. The song debuted on People.com and spread worldwide.
East of Eli’s second single "Childsplay" received commercial success, debuting in the iTunes top 25
dance chart, the song detailing feelings of falling in love for the first time. It also features Chyler
Leigh on backing vocals. The electro pop anthem is an emotional coming of age story with West
brilliantly detailing the confusion, excitement and anticipation of first love. West confides "the reason
behind the song was to help my son navigate the next five years of his life as he winces ever closer
to the 'coming of age' years in his life. I felt sharing my experience would give him much needed
insight and perspective on what he may expect and let him know he has someone on his side that
can relate to on his own journey".
"Nowhere" and "Childsplay" are off of East of Eli’s upcoming release Lost Transmission. Lost
Transmission thematically draws it’s influence from all the transmissions sent to outer space in
hopes of connecting with other intelligent life. It’s symbolic in nature of releasing a new album or
song. The title track, "Lost Transmission" (to be released shortly thereafter) was written for West's
son Noah who is diagnosed with ADHD & Autism. The song is an anthem intended to capture his
son’s undivided attention to break through to the truth and beauty of who his son is becoming in
spite of his own day-to-day struggles. The new album is the evolution of that journey, with songs
dedicated to all three of his children, his wife and himself, that “connect with humanity through the
music.” West confides.
East of Eli has received critical acclaim with American Songwriter noting West as an artist on the rise
as well as being featured in such high-profile outlets as People Magazine, Hollywood Life, New York
Post, Hallmark’s “Home and Family,” and more. East of Eli has also found success selling out top
venues in the US including Los Angeles's Troubadour and New York's Knitting Factory as well
headlining a sold out European tour in such cities as Paris, London, Berlin, Zurich and more including
a special performance at Liverpool's famed Cavern Club where they received their ceremonial brick
and future residency. Touring with his devoted wife and featured singer Chyler Leigh (Supergirl,
Grey’s Anatomy), East of Eli has established a dedicated and fervent fan base worldwide.
Almost Awake - (Set time: 9:45 PM)
Almost Awake
Almost Awake is a young female-fronted, five piece rock band from Las Vegas. This fast rising, high energy group of teen-agers (16-19 yrs old) range in musical influences from Paramore, and Nirvana, to Joe Satriani and Marcus Miller. The result is a bombastic blend of melody and musicianship.

Formed in mid-2014 Almost Awake came together when virtuoso guitarist Grady Jones and stellar drummer Gabe Conover teamed up with longtime friend and gifted 16 year old vocalist, Vick Liano. Addison Egelhoff came aboard on rhythm guitar bringing amazing stage presence, and finally Tommy Cochran brought his punk influence and attitude on bass, creating a unique combination of styles and songwriting and the phenomenon which is Almost Awake.

After the well-received release of their first EP ‘The Explorer’, the band has since produced several hit videos, including a popular rendition of 5 Seconds of Summer’s ‘Long Way Home’. They have just released their new single ‘What did I do’ available on ITunes in September and the highly anticipated DIY music video for ‘The Intruder’.

The band, which has garnered a huge following in a very short time and rave reviews from critics, was chosen from thousands of bands to represent the House of Blues Music Forward foundation after only a few months as a band and has since been selected for radio play by A.V.A. Live Radio, KGUP FM Emerge Radio, Extreme Radio X107.5, Mix 94.1, EGH Radio in the UK, Women of Substance radio, Music Inferno Radio, and many others.

Almost Awake has performed throughout the west coast with The Extreme Tour, played at the Mesa Music Festival, and opened for such acts as Escape the Fate, Slaves, Capture the Crown, A lot like Birds Handguns, Roam, Hit the Lights and many more.

State to State - (Set time: 8:15 PM)
State to State
State to State is a band ready to leave their mark. Since releasing their first LP No Bounds in 2014, they have established themselves as flag bearers of atmospheric rock, while looking to create a new path for themselves in a landscape forged by bands like Muse, Radiohead, and Interpol. Their new EP "Motives" might be just that: the collection of songs to separate them from their peers and reaffirm the power of progressive guitar driven rock. "Motives" is five tracks of soaring, inspired alternative rock that was produced and recorded by Grammy Award nominated Ian MacGregor (Katy Perry, Twenty One Pilots, All American Rejects, Ariana Grande) at Greg Wells' Rocket Carousel Studio in Culver City, CA. Guitarist Andrew Orvis talked about the recording process: "Creating this new record has been quite a journey for us. Thankfully, working with Ian MacGregor has been like having a 5th member of the band and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Recording at Rocket Carousel gave us the opportunity to experiment with all kinds of gear, which really helped expand our tonal options for each song."

"Motives" is a compelling five-part journey that explores the rich soundscapes State to State are slowly becoming masters of. The EP kicks off with lead single "My Little Phony" which rocks with a sense of urgency, while other highlights like "Arms" and EP closer "Pins and Needles" burn slowly under the surface, waiting to soar. "Motives" is a wholly breathtaking experience and serves as a benchmark the band has set for itself. Drummer Feudor Lokshin had this to say about the EP: "I see 'Motives' as five different stories with their own characters, framed in music and not bound by any specific genre."

With "Motives" State to State are ready to make waves within the Los Angeles alt scene, and with tour dates in the works for early 2016, they have their eyes set on the rest of the country.

Since forming in 2010 the band have slowly been building the groundwork for success in Los Angeles with residencies at notable venues like The Viper Room and Hotel Cafe. They have also performed at the Pancakes and Booze pop-up art show as well as Eat See Hear & Street Food Cinema.

State to State is Shea Stratton (vocals / guitar), Andrew Orvis (guitar), Feudor Lokshin (drums), and Patrick Morgan (bass).
